Worldwide Transit Insurance, an insurance broker for international transportation, hired Built to create two custom solutions for their ongoing needs.

Our needs are unique and evolving. We required a custom solution that can grow and modify over time. Built met the challenge and delivered exactly what we, and our clients, require.

01. The Challenge

An Existing Solution Does Not Exist

WTI required two distinct tools for their operations. Unfortunately, due to the nature of their business, these solutions did not already exist.

02. The Solution

Defining and Developing the Tools

The first project was to create an insurance certificate based on specific criteria and calculate the amount based on various inputs. A certificate would then be generated to be presented to customs. The second was an inventory packing list with calculated amounts that was to be digitally sent and included with the packages being shipped. This had the added complexity to work within different insurance companies’ systems and requirements.

03. The Results

Tools that Grow with Business Needs

Both tools needed a different tech stack to work. The first was custom coded and integrated into the Magento platform for its ecommerce capabilities. The second was built using React for fast rendering, reusable components, and stability. Both allow for further additions as needs grow, which has been a consistent request.
