    One brand – two websites. Catering to flight training and to the professional flying community.

    Channel Islands Aviation, a flight school and FBO, contracted with Built to revamp their two distinct websites.

    01. The Challenge

    A Tale of Two Markets

    Channel Islands Aviation is both a flight school and an FBO (Fixed-based Operator) operating out of the same location. These two businesses cater to different target markets and needed a strategy for both.

    02. The Solution

    The Seasoned Pilot and the Student

    Two different visual concepts were created for each website. The ideas were to cater an informative feel for the student and flight school and a professional identity for the FBO. An online scheduler was integrated into the flight school for students to book planes, while the focus for the FBO is on the various services provided for traveling pilots, operators, and those looking for hangar space.

    03. The Results

    Positive Data Trends

    Analytics all point in improved territory with positive gains in user interaction, increased search visibility, and form conversions. In addition, the online scheduler freed up the front desk staff from scheduling tasks.
